Terms and Conditions

Appointments

  • A reminder message of your appointment will be sent via text. We ask that you please respond to this by close of business on the day you receive it. Unconfirmed bookings may be cancelled.

  • We ask that any changes or cancellations be made 2 days prior to your appointment to avoid a possible cancellation fee, this then gives us time to rebook that appointment.

  • If you are running late, we ask that you please contact us. If you are more than 15 minutes late your appointment may be cancelled.

  • If your dog has fleas your appointment may be cancelled.

Drop off and Pick up

  • Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment.

  • You will receive a text message when your dog is ready for pick-up.

  • Please pick-up your dog promptly or a late pick up fee of $15 per hour or part thereof may be charged.

Matting and Knotting

  • Matted coats may incur an extra charge.

  • We do not perform painful dematting. Depending on the severity of matting alternatives such as a shorter trim or shaving may be recommended to ensure the dog’s comfort. Please note that during these occasions there is an increased risk of clipper cuts and grazes.

  • Dematting procedures, may reveal skin conditions or bruising that were previously hidden beneath the mats. We cannot be held responsible for such conditions that become apparent during the grooming process.

 

Handling of Aggressive or Distressed Dogs

  • We reserve the right to muzzle any dog that exhibits an aggressive behaviour or body language of the wellbeing of our staff and the dogs.

  • In the event that a dog displays aggressive behaviour or becomes overly distressed during the grooming process, we reserve the right to discontinue the service for the safety of our staff, the dog itself and other pets within our salon.

  • Charges may still apply for the grooming time spent with the dog.

  • Clients are required to disclose any history of aggression or behavioural issues their dog may have. This information is essential to ensure the safety of our staff members, other dogs, and the smooth operation of our services. Failure to disclose such information may result in the immediate termination of grooming services.

 

The Salon

  • For all dogs safety, please do not open any gates inside the salon.

  • Please bring your dog into the salon on a lead.

  • Please ensure your dog has toileted before entering the salon.

  • Any abuse towards the staff will not be tolerated and will result in refusal of service.

 

Photography Consent

  • We reserve the right to photograph dogs during grooming sessions. These photographs may be used for promotional purposes on our website, social media platforms, or other marketing materials. By using our services, clients consent to the use of their dogs images for such purposes.

  • Please inform us if you do not wish your dog to be photographed.

Liability

  • While utmost care is taken during grooming procedures, clients understand that all grooming activities entail some level of risk. Our salon shall not be held liable for any pre-existing conditions, allergies, injuries, or unforeseen reactions that may occur during or after the grooming process.

  • Coastal Clips by Vera is not liable for any medical or vet costs. However, the Client/Owner(s) accepts and grants permission for staff to obtain emergency Veterinary treatment for the dog at the Client/Owner(s) expense should it become necessary.

  • The Client/Owner(s) agrees that Coastal Clips by Vera shall not be held liable for any after grooming effects that matt clipping may produce or any problems uncovered on the badly matted neglected coat.

  • Coastal Clips by Vera provides all dogs with a bow or other accessories to complement their groom. The Client/Owner(s) understands that these bows or accessories can be a choking hazard and understands that they are only safe for the dog to wear whilst supervised.

  • You acknowledge that accidents can and do happen and you hereby absolve Coastal Clips by Vera and its staff from any and all responsibility involving, injury, escape, damage or disease during and after their grooming appointment.

  • Any complaints or dissatisfaction must be notified and discussed on completion of the groom, before leaving premises. In the event of any agreed additional grooming, as goodwill the dog must be returned within 24 hours.

 

Payment Terms

  • Payment for grooming services is due upon completion of the service.

  • All prices, given over the phone, without having personally assessed your dog, or before completion are an estimate only and are subject to change at management’s discretion.

 

Changes to Terms and Conditions

  • We reserve the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time.  

 

Client Agreement

By booking our grooming services, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
